Personal Care

Professional assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and daily personal care needs.

Personal care services ensure that clients maintain dignity and hygiene while receiving respectful assistance with their daily routines. We recognize that personal care is deeply intimate, and our caregivers are specially trained to provide support that honors each client's comfort level, cultural preferences, and personal boundaries.

Our caregivers help with:

  • Bathing, showering, or bed baths - Full assistance or supervision during bathing, ensuring water temperature is safe, using adaptive equipment like shower chairs and grab bars, gentle washing and drying, and application of prescribed lotions or ointments. We monitor skin condition and report any concerns to family or healthcare providers.

  • Dressing and grooming - Selecting appropriate clothing, assistance with putting on and removing garments, hair washing and styling, shaving, nail care, oral hygiene including brushing teeth and denture care, skincare routines, and ensuring hearing aids and glasses are clean and properly worn.

  • Toileting and incontinence care - Safe assistance with bathroom use, changing adult briefs with dignity and discretion, thorough cleansing to prevent irritation, managing catheters or ostomy bags according to guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, and monitoring for any changes or concerns.

  • Mobility support and safe transfers - Assistance with moving between bed, wheelchair, and chair using proper techniques and equipment like gait belts and walkers. We help with positioning to prevent pressure sores, support balance during walking, assist with vehicle transfers, and follow physical therapy guidelines to prevent falls.

  • Morning and bedtime routines - Helping clients start their day refreshed and end it comfortably, laying out clothes and personal items, ensuring the sleeping environment is safe and restful, and providing nighttime assistance as needed.

  • Assistance with exercises prescribed by healthcare professionals - Encouraging completion of physical therapy exercises, supporting range-of-motion activities and stretching routines, monitoring for pain or discomfort, and documenting progress.

We understand that personal care can feel sensitive—that's why our caregivers approach every task with gentleness, patience, and the utmost respect for privacy and independence. We encourage clients to do as much as they comfortably can, stepping in only where assistance is truly needed.
